Susan E. Bean.  She married (1) Paul Caldwell Wilson 26 September 1913 in New York, New York Co. NY.  He died Abt. 1952 in New York, New York Co., NY.

 

Notes for Frances/Fannie Coralie Perkins:

Frances Perkins grew up in Worcester, MA. She changed her name from Fannie to Frances when she married. Although she kept her maiden name, refusing to take his name. Actually defending her right to do so in court. She was the first female United States Cabinet member, serving as Secretary of Labor under President Franklin D. Roosevelt from 1933 to 1945. She is buried in Newcastle Cemetery on River Road, in Newcastle, Lincoln County, Maine with some of her ancestors.

        5. Cynthia Otis, born 10 February 1809 in Newcastle, Lincoln Co., ME.  She was the daughter of 10. Amos Otis, Sr. and 11. Thankful Taylor.

 

Notes for Edmund Perkins, Jr.:

Edmund and Cynthia are both buried at the Glidden Cemetery on River Road. There are also stones with a Clara A. Perkins and Charles E. Perkins there.

        9. Abigail Catland, born 29 August 1770 in Newcastle, Lincoln Co., ME; died 16 May 1846 in Newcastle, Lincoln Co., ME.  She was the daughter of 18. John Catland, Sr. and 19. Lydia Winslow.

Edmund and Abigail are buried on Frances Perkins Farm Cemetery on Perkins Land on River Road, now owned by grandson of Frances Perkins-Tomlin Cogeshall.

Notes for Nathaniel Perkins, Jr.:

The Administrtion on the estate of Nathaniel Perkins of Somersworth was granted to his son Lemuel on 30 March 1748. Probate records, Vol. 17, page 199. The bond of Lemuel Perkins, with William Stiles and Joseph Hussey as sureties all of Somersworth, yeomen in the sum of L500, 30 March 1748, for the administration of the estate. The witnesses were James Philpot and William Parker.

Notes for Thomas Perkins II:

Thomas Perkins II was living in Dover, NH in 1665. He took the oath of fidelity and allegiance in 1660. He gave land to his son Nathaniel by deed dated 25 April 1693. In 1681 he had a grant of land at Cape Porpoise, Maine.

Thomas Perkins the immigrant ancestor lived either at Scarborough or Cape Porpoise, Maine. His inventory amounted to thirty pounds. He bought a lot of land at Blue Point from Capt. Bonington.
